Leveraging 20 years leading innovation in the private sector, Jorge Fernandes is the Head of Innovative Finance, Frontier Innovations and Venture Building at the UN World Food Programme Innovation Accelerator, based in Munich Germany. Together with his team of technology experts (including AI/ML, Blockchain and Crypto) and innovative finance specialists, Jorge is driving the development of new solutions aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of WFP operations, at attracting impact investments towards humanitarian aid, and at promoting financial inclusion of the people WFP serves.
